Sometimes the future’s fading
But maybe
The good things come around
Today we’ll hit the restart
But maybe
It’ll heal our every wound

In the past, we’ve asked many questions
Yet we never knew
Hearing this, hearing that, the suggestions
About what we should do

Time will always heal it
– everybody swore
But it’s also the pain that pushes us to aim
To reach for so much more
And we know we’ll find it
– wherever we go
And every day we wake up
The world will always shake up
But we just won’t quit

At times the past is burning
But maybe
That’s our last tax return
Today we’ll hit the restart
But maybe
It’s the thing we need to learn

In the future, that’s sooner to come here
Yet we’ll never know
What’s for sure and what’s not yet that clear
But maybe we should go

While the time can permit
– living on this shore
We can take the steps to reach the oceans and beyond
To see much more
And we know we’ll get there
– as long as we go
And every night we lay down
And every time we break down
But we just won’t quit
