Catching night before it goes
To the place you’ll never find
You’re not getting any younger
Holding on the lost tonight

Hard to be in this moment
But you’ll never see behind
The curtain of the wasted nights
When the wrong seemed to be right

And you want it more
But you ask, what for?
Yet you know
You won’t miss that face
A lot has changed
And you can replace
Everything will come and go

But you want it more
Than you did before
Something that can stay in place
Beautiful and kind
Bringing peace of mind
But for those who always wait
Time is slow
