Still waiting for that moment
When the soil dries, when they get wise
Though they still hope and the rain still rains
On the sweet memories, the unripe strawberries
Ate this, ate that
And they still miss it and still can’t taste it
Been there, done that
Though they can do much, so much more
Clouds are clouding their clouded mind
Sometimes they can breathe, can breathe with an ease
Looking down to check if it’s time
But all they can see are the unripe strawberries
Waiting they wait, they always do
For the rain to pass, for the sky to get blue
Though they never tried the fruit of time
Until their strawberries get ripe in their view
