They always pass her name and spill the words full of disdain
The “experts” always comment: “What she did was a piece of cake!”
They don’t know that her pieces almost made her lose her brain
She wished they looked at her, like she was in the hall of fame

They always pass her painting and just overlook her name
She gave it all to have her piece displayed and put out there
Sharing the stories in rhymes, about how she gave herself free reign
She wished they looked at her, like she was in the hall of fame

Sometimes we may wonder how one feels in the hall of fame
Trust her, she’s been there, but life is life, it feels the same
She crafter her pieces when she felt crazy and insane
It’s momentary high, capturing the feelings in the frame

Sometimes we may yearn to be just seen in a honored way
Trust her, she’s been there, had her 15 minutes of fame
The respect she once wished for was only the numbers game
It was temporary high and then she was just out of frame
