Quench my thirst, be the first
Who can bring me back the good old days
‘Cause I’ve been there and seen the worst
Fearing it would be like that always

Living empty days in drought
I’ve dreamt that your hands stroked my tired mind
And now I’m healing having the feeling
That I’d jump again into your tide

Though I know
I’m on my own
And I can’t plead again
I need you like a drink
But I know that I should abstain
If you want to pour into me
Be the one to rain

I’m like an oil in your water
When I come close, you push back stronger
All I wish for is to find the way
That we could mix and stop to sunder

I’m like an oil in your water
And I can’t bear this fight much longer
They say that water always finds the way
Keeping the oil up from the under

Though I know
I’m on my own
And that’s for now to stay
I’m living in a drought
But may the water pave the way
If you want to pour into me
Be the one to rain
