Everything that I lost was once mine
Gathered all and then left it behind
Nothing that I got would heal my mind
I knew it would not give back the lost time

Chirping birds and days without an end
Worth more than the money you could spend
The most valuable gift is an honest friend
We’re on the crossroads we can’t comprehend

Money in my head, not in my heart
We can get more money but not more time
The precious moments fading into dark
And if only I could have the one thing
That would be my everything
We’d spend the life together not apart
